Technology has been well developed since my high school days. I remember myself using an old style pentium 4 computer. It is actually with me but I don't use it that often. i normally use my laptop in surfing the net and doing all sorts of stuff. In school, more and more people are having the mini-notebook since it is very handy and you can bring it anywhere in school. And recently, ipad was launched. What kind of computer do you prefer to use? I believe that gamers still prefer computers with CPU and monitor rather than laptops, etc.

I use my laptop for everything that I do, because I don't have anything else I am going to buy a new MacBook Pro, but I am not sure how I will get the money for it... iPad is supposed to be the thing with what you surf the web and watch videos

Mac laptops are really expensive but I'm sure they're worth the money :)

Yeah, but I am really trying to earn with my blogs, so that I make a lot of them I know that quality is better than quantity, but I just need the money, and I can't make "good quality" blogs...

i would have finished paying ot my first lap top now, but it got killed end of last yr, when i got water on it. but i wouldn't go back to a desk top, now i love having the freedom of being able to move the lappie where ever i want to move it to. along with wireless internet as well. i'm currently sitting in fron of my mothers desk top typing, as my internet is not wanting to pick up signal here. which is really annoying for me.

I like netbook, Oh I am not really sure if there is a netbook or a notebook , or if they are the same. I like the netbook as I know it is just small and I can bring it anywhere. Bad people will not see if I have that one because I can easily insert it in my bag. I am not a techi person so I commented on physical appearance only. If I can choose again I will choose netbook and desktop. Of course I need computer at home to be able to continue my work at home.

desktop is for me the best kind of pc. The high costs of laptot depends on the small parts that composed the laptops theirself. It's not easy to change parts in laptops..

I use a notebook for my surfing and note taking. I gave up on desktops ages ago. I have a laptop as well, for my video editing. Ipad, I am not too hot about touch screens. I think gamers use Laptops the "Alien" thingy, it is 12".

the gaming laptop you mentioned is called Alienware. from Dell. awesome piece of technology. if it is good enough for gaming, then it is probably good enough for anything except being a server. always wanted to buy one but i bet my wife will kill me if i buy another computer. already have 2 laptops and an old desktop at home lol.

the thing with gamers prefer desktops is almost a thing of the past. it depends on what type of gamer too. if they're the type who loves to 'pimp' their rig, and buy an upgrade costantly.. then they would prefer a desktop. for others, laptops are great for mobility and that means gamers can game from anywhere. i remember going to LAN parties back in early 2000 and i would always bring my own desktop. with CRT monitors and all LOL

I definitely prefer to have and use a laptop. I still have a desktop just for keeping large files and programs that I don't want to tie down my laptop with. I love that I can just pick it up and go wherever I need to go and still be able to have access to all of my documents. I have been looking at the new ipad and it looks like it could be even better than the laptops that I have had. I may have to try that out...haha

I preferred desktop computer, It is easy and less cost when upgrading. when it comes to technical concerns desktop computer is the most easier to find and repair hardware issues

When i playing games, especially some advanced games which high performances is very needed, i will certain choose the desktop, but when i just want to surf and find some informations, i prefer using the laptop because of its portable and fast features. Personally, i thought iPad is more like a fashionable stuff and, as to its popularize i believe it has a long way to go xD

I actually do not exactly know the differences between laptop and notebook, I thought they are about the same. I am currently using my company laptop (14" monitor) most of the time, at work and at home. Though it's portable, I carry it most of the time, it is quite heavy too. I am thinking of getting a Netbook, I think this is also called mini-notebook, it's smaller and lighter, so it's very convenient to carry here and there. It's just that the screen is quite small, and I don't think it's good for playing games. But it should be sufficient enough if I just want to surf net and read some information online. I haven't check out iPad yet, I think it's quite interesting and cool!

I prefer my Desktop because it makes me sit down and actually work, with my laptop I have portability which means I can get distracted much easier. I used my laptop in school and did not bother with my desktop, but now that I am finished with school I primarily use my desktop only.

i have my laptop and desktop. if you;ll see, my laptop's as good as the new one since I'm using it rarely because for me, it's not that needed. i prefer desktop since I'm more comfortable with it (because i am a gamer. lol) and for me, desktop's more durable and easier to use.

I think I'll go for laptop. I prefer it since I can bring it with me. I'll just go to a place where there is WiFi and start surfing.

I also remember when I use old computers where they are still very slow even the boot up. I normally use the desktop computer because of the good hardware compared to other devices. I am also very interested with the iPad because still now I don't have a laptop. I never got the interest of buying a laptop but just a good netbook. But I am already waiting for the iPad or the tablet device of apple for many years already and I am quite surprised with their concept of a tablet which is just practically a very big iPhone/iPod touch. The interaction to a windows-based tablet device is very much different with the iPad because of the touch optimized user interface. I am so sure that I am going to buy an iPad when it is already released here because I really love the iPhone OS even before when I still had my iPhone. I just like browsing the web that is why I am quite attracted with the netbook because of the portability but now the iPad would be the best even if it doesn't have an Adobe Flash.
