Lots of double topics on mylot, if not triple or more...

Dear all, I'm affraid this might be a double topic too but I'm posting it anyway hoping to get help. There are so many double topics out there, if not triple. I mean exactly the same topics, like: "do you know how to swim" or "How old are you?". These are just randomly chosen examples, and there are many others out there; both interesting and others less or not interesting at all. In the old version of mylot I found it a lot easier to search for discussions that are allready out there, I couldn't find a similiar discussion to this one using the search field on top of the page so I hope no one has started one yet. The thing is; do people actually search before they post? Is it because they don't want to search or do they simply forget? Did you ever (accidently or on purpose) double post a similiar topic? Is it hard to come up with new interesting topics for you? Those are quite some questions to answer, I hope they will help us to get a good discussion going on this topic, I personally feel it's quite important if we want to keep a healthy variation on mylot :) Thanks!

I usually try to search first. If there is a duplicate topic I will just respond rather than post a new one. Sometimes if there are 2 identical topics I will post to both. But I have accidentally posted the same/similar topic.

I think totally preventing it isn't realistic, it will allways happen. Especially if a disussion hasn't got tags added proberbly to them. It will make it a lot harder for others to actually see that another person has allready posted about a topic. Thank you for your descriptive post!
