Deccan into IPL Semi Final !!!

uuf finally someone talked about Deccan Chargers.. Everyone are forgetting that they are the defending champions. What is wrong if a foreigner is a captain of the side. DC do not have a person who is from India who is capable of taking captaincy job, Laxman did but he is not much agile while fielding and he is not that much suitable for T 20 format.. His injuries in the present and last tournament has made him sit out on the bench. That is why Gilchrist got the captaincy... Collingwood is the one who came rescue for DD. Dilshan showed some spark but could not stayed longer.. I appreciate and congratulate that DC has moderate team this year and its captain with poor batting form still made it to semis by winning 5 matches. That is something which Mumbai Indians were doing, so they rightly deserved a place in semis.. What a night it was for Rohit Sharma, he caught three superb catches and that is awesome.. The margin of defeat would have been more if Symonds did not drop the simple catch offer by Collingwood and Rohit Sharma dropped Nehra another simple catch. I do not think Delhi Dare Devils have played poorly but the pitch is very slow and ball does not bounce much, so, I think the toss was crucial and that was lost by DD captain and the match as well.. Actually DC was 20 runs short but those brilliant catches by Rohit Sharma has spoiled the show for DD openers.. Sehwag's catch in the slip is the best catch and it was blinder.. Warner was caught brilliantly and then Sehwag.. Only thing which I will blame is that DD should have known about pitch more than DC and Dilshan should have slowed down his rash shots and play little watchful innings and then explode when other weaker bowlers come.. But Gambhir is completely out of sorts and his fitness is questionable.

ya they are the only team in semi with foreign captain. i wished to see 4 indian captain fighting each other for the ipl title, but some how deccan managed to beat delhi and entered semi. but know its the term for our captain cool to break deccans winning streak.

I did not see the yesterday's match between Delhi Daredevils and Deccan Chargers. However, from what I came to know, Delhi Daredevils made a mess of chasing a modest total. They should have been able to finish off this score. Now, the way Deccan Chargers have won most of their last 6 matches, they can pose a serious threat to Mumbai Indians for the title. Let us keep our fingers crossed. Regards

Hi pratheep indeed the top order of DD collapsed once again and gave away the match.However having said that I also want to point out something.Have you noticed that the DC played better cricket whenever they are in a tight spot.They won all their last 5 matches and seems to be peaking at the right time.Who would have thought that Dc will make it to the semis but they are finally there and that too by becoming second in the points table.The top order of DD fared badly throughout the major part of the tournament and it is the main cause of their downfall.The carefree attitude of Viru,Warner,Dilshan led to the downfall of the team.Only Gambhir played with some amount of responsibility and the moment he failed DD fate was sealed.We must give credit to DC for the win as they took several outstanding catches to peg DD back and their bowlers bowled excellently.I think even in this edition DC can ultimately be the champions and it will be nice to see them in the finals.

itz truly a gr8 match yesterday by losing the wickets so fast i thought DC ll lose(i am a supporter of DC ) but itz wonderful bowling by Symonds n, Vaas n Ojha

Yes poor performance by Delhi team. They would have won this match easily. This year we don't want any foreign caption to win IPL. I think Bangalore should win this year IPL.

It was a bad day for delhi to lose the match. But Iam sure a foreign captain wont make into the finals. Chennai is going to rock sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
