Question About Pay to Mine Sites- Emeralds, Opals, etc...

Has anyone been to the mines where you pay to dig for gold, opals, emeralds, etc. I know there are several across the US. I want to know your experience there and if you would go back again. Please give the location and the mine fee if you remember it as well, thanks!
