Yeah, peanuts is probably the most popular and affordable brain food around, they say it's because it is a good source of Vit.B6 and Folate. Other brain foods that I know are avocados, bananas, tomatoes, sardines, and brocollies. A chewing gum, if you consider it as food, is also a brain booster but only if you chew it, studies show that the act of chewing stimulates the brain! ^^

well, I think it is chocolate, because it stimulates the brain activity, but some other natural food I really don't know. I know that Ginco Biloba leaves are also good for the brain and the memory!

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but the only food I know that is good for the brain is fish. They are supposedly rich in EPA and DHA which are the omega fatty acids that are vital for brain function. These fatty acids can supposedly slow progression of brain diseases such as Alzheimers and dementia. I remember there was a period of time when I was young that I just hated to eat fish because of the fine bones that poke my gums and occasionally cause bleeding. My parents used to encourage me to eat fish by saying that it is good for the brain and that if I want to excel better in school I should eat it. Too bad I always didn't heed their advice when I was young.....but now I love to eat fish!

Hi, The things that nourishes other parts of our body are the same things that nourishes our brain. Now, there are a few things that are genetic and remains almost the same throughout one's life. It is recommended by some doctors that anything that has rich calcium content is good for your brain. There are some other important elements like Iodine, Phosphorous etc that are said to have good effect on brain. If you eat fish a lot, your brain function is expected to improve. Milk, if you are not allergic to it, is good for your brain. There are certain elementary vitamins that are said to be good for brain, but I highly doubt that. Vitamins are mainly required for immunity, not for nutrition. There are also a few things I would like to add. Like other parts of our body, our brain function also increases with exercise, obviously a different kind of exercise. I think, the more you use it in different ways, the stronger it becomes. There are few aerobic exercises that make sure that both the half of the brain is acting properly. For that you have to consult an expert. Brain is really a complicated organ and there is still a lot more to know about it. Thanks God bless you

Hi hunterkim_07 I think apple can do also because every time we had a overnight review together with my classmates at our house. She always prepare a plate full of apples and tell us to it them. The only thing that come up in my mind that forced me to eat it is because it is so delicious. But one thing i don't know is it also helps our brain to increase its thinking capacity. I just knew it after i hear some nutritionist orientation at our school. Maybe it can help you also. I am not sure about it but i promise you that it is also good to our health. ^_^. I love apples ! ^^
