My cat hade undergone a vaccination

The veterinarian told me that I should not let my cat get wet for three weeks. I wasn't able to ask him why but I was just wondering why. It's been past a week since my cat had this. I also wasn't able to ask if that would be the same if it licks itself.

Which vaccination did your cat have? Mostly I'm guessing that there will be no problem with your cat licking himself hun, but should not go out in the rain.
