My birth place was a village.I used to enjoy my place in my child hood but now I do not like to stay. There is a small tank that stores water during rainy season for the paddy and sugar cane field. Each farmer will have a well also in his field. If the tank water is exhausted then they use well water to water the plant. The wells have helped me to learn to swim without a trainer. When we go to bath in the well, hours together we used to swim and play. That is keeping my health , healthy even today. There are three small hill one side of our village. one of the hill we used to climb to the top. There was one banyan tree on the top of the hill and there was small pond which will be filled with water during rainy season. That has also helped to keep my health healthy today.Besides there is two small ponds in the village. we used to go for a school by walking which was about 3 Kilometer away from my village.Very good walking exercise during childhood. That all keeps me healthy today and make me remember about my village. Happy myLotting.

This reminds me about the place where I was born.It was in Bolarum - a small beautiful and calm place. It is around 10 kilometers from the city and would like to share that this is also a military camp area. During my birth time - as my dad used to comment that the medical facilities were very less and it was very difficult also.

In our village also the medical facilities were not there. But my grandfather was a local medicine man. So, he used to supply medicine prepared from medicinal plants. Also, to clean our stomach, every three months, we got to take castor oil in the morning. This oil will clean our stomach completely. All the worms from the stomach will be cleared. That way we looked after our health.Happy myLotting.

Yes I remember that too we used to have Castor oil being drunk by my grand mother. This was the most difficult part to be handled, and a specialty of me was I used to have some sugar just after having the oil. Also this oil was used weekly once to massage the body. But gone are all the olden days which were very nice. We also played many games bot now no chance at all.

I was born in the third biggest city in Denmark. I grew up in a big city where there were plenty of schools, shops, restaurants and other kinds of places. My parents moved pretty often, and I have lived in different parts of that city. I loved to walk around in the pedestrian area with my father, and my grandmother and I often visited one of the parks where there was a big playground. I always asked my grandmother if we could go there and I have many happy memories from that place. That playground still exists, but it has been changed a lot and it looks very different today.

my birth place is a village as well. I used to enjoy the place when I was a child but now I don't like to stay. it is a beautiful place with many hills ,mountains, trees and many rivers where we could swim. but now the trees have gone, and the river has so many rubbishes and getting smaller. there were many small fishes and shrimps in the river,I often went to the river to catch fishes and shrimps.but now there has not so much water in the river and the water is very dirty. I hope the government can take into consideration about the problems. so that the people can live healthily.

I totally think that you should write a short story about your village. In that few paragraphs that you shared it was like all I wanted to hear about was more of the village. You should really think about it. As far as my place of birth goes, its nothing exciting like yours. I was born in a hospital in the city. When I came home from the hospital, we lived in a single family home filled with love. Unfortunately the city life is nothing compared to a scenic, green, spacious, village. dl

I also lived in big cities and now living in a city.It can not be compared with the village. There are lot of ways to do the exercise with out taking extra pain to do the exercises. Now in the city life, the children do not have any exercise. They have to compulsorily have to go the Gymnasium for doing the exercise. So, they are not physically healthy.happy myLotting.

I was born on an Air Force Base. I have not returned there since my birth so I know nothing about it. My mom got sick right after I was born and we moved up with my grandmother. Maybe I should take a trip just to go see the city..

Because of transfer and shifting due to the requirement of the Air Force, you might not have chance to visit again. I was born and brought up from village. And I had the chance to serve in Indian Air Force for 15 Years. Thanks for the response. Happy myLotting.

My birth place is also a village in AP. But i brought up in a city. We usually go to my village in the summer holidays. It was so green, lake both side of road, looks so beautiful. We used to enjoy my village place and people when my grandfather was alive. Now 10 years after i went to my village to see my old friends and the place. For a surprise there is no such beauty existing now, village become like a drought place, lake is not there, government providing tap water. No green no proper maintenance, most of the people are staying is only old persons, their children settled in cities in India, US, UK and some are in Dubai. I felt very bad and sad. Why villages have become like this like life less, and who are supporting this old persons there? It gives me pain.

We failed to take care of the villages. Also, there is no much of rain.As per elders views, there should be 3 rains in a month and that will keep the place with all happiness. But, nowadays, not even a rain for months together. Also, very big reservoir are built and complete water is stored there and water is stopped to flow to nearby places.Hence no underground water and the small tanks in the villages are dried and small tanks are converted and houses are built.Hence this problem. Thanks for the response. Happy mylotting.
