Front load machines are more popular over top load washing machines. The very reason is that they consume less water, but how about the power? Do they consume more power, as they run more time?

yes i think they do...its natural hat they run for more time.....so more power...i have used both and so i think that the front load consumes more time and power...also when it throws out water....the top load has pipe from bottom...while the front load has from the back side of the machine which is bit above the ground level...so to take up the water the motor also needs to be strong and more power is required...

I have a front load washing machine at home. I think it uses more electricity than the top load washing machine because it spends longer time washing the clothes. However, the front load washing machine has its own advantages. Such as the clothes will be cleaner and less damage. I love China
