Affiliate marketing using blog

Hi, I was wondering if affiliate marketing on blogs was violation of terms of using blogs. I have researched a lot about so many niche products and I want to create online store for affiliate marketing. It is very difficult to create a new website of this kind and also costly. As of now I don't intend to invest any money so I am thinking of using blogs as a way to promote my products. Also there are already many good tools available in blogs which can serve the purpose. So should I go with it? Thanks.
