I'm missing my only daughter

I have a high school 12 year old daughter who went on a vacation to her grandpa's house. I miss her funny antics already, her stuborn yet gentle side when she insists having her way most of the time. Do you allow your kid to be away from you even if it's just for 2 to 3 days to be with her relatives? Is it healthy or am I just being emotional?

Oh, I think your feelings is normal alphabeta, I react the same way too every time my son goes to vacation with his friends. When he's at home, I wish he'd leave me alone, and I get angry most times, because of his untidy room, his grades, coming home late, etc etc. But 1 day he's away, and the house is empty, I miss him already.

You're right Godmother, we won't trade their very presence for anything. My husband even consoled me one day when he sensed my sadness for missing my little girl, the funny thing though was that he got teary-eyed too as he tried lifting my spirit up. Thanks for posting.
