need help with cam

hiya all,
as you know am a single dad
now I need some help I have a pc installed in my little ones room as shes a very light sleeper so once shes in bed I don't want to keep going in when she starts to shuffle incase I wake her up.
So set up a pc with a webcam installed, now is it possible to view the cam in the babies room from say my laptop down stairs.
If so how ?
have looked around the web loads and just can't find anyway of doing it.

howdy benny128.
Search for an IP wireless or a not wireless webcam. And must also have a router.
Or else try setting up Remote Desktop utility (I think Windows have that) on your laptop down stairs, were you can access remotely the desktop of that pc with webcam in your baby's bedroom.
