Are you scared when contraceptive has turned the "murderer"?

A 28-year lady who is going to get married died suddenly. The cause of death is the embolia of deep vein in the leg. Which result from taking contraceptive rather than taking a flight.
The doctors warn that high-risk group of embolia of deep vein are those 35-year old people who suffer from obesity, seizer, hypertension,severe migraine or medical history,etc. People should counsel doctors before taking contraceptive. Are you scared when contraceptive has turned the "murderer"?

Well thins is one reason that I have stopped taking the contraceptive pill recently. I have been taking it since I was 17 years old and now I'm 32. I have had two break in between to have my children, but still it's a pretty long time. Now I am trying life without it. One thing is that I don't know how it's going to affect my PMT, I am really hoping that it improves it.

It is definitely alarming when a person takes a contraceptive pill and passes away due to deep vein thrombosis.All these days we've been informed that taking contraceptive in addition to birth control has other benefits as far regularising the menstrual cycle is concerned.What i wonder is only a certain pill with a certain composition fatal or are all birth control pills fatal for everyone with these health problems you've mentioned.The situation is definitely alarming as far as i'm concerned.

I don't know much about embolia.I've never heard about this side effect of contraceptives and I'm interested. I'm also taking a form of contraceptive and I'm wondering what contraceptive causes this.
