friends

I am not a people person, I don't like being around people or getting phone calls. I find friends to be more of an annoyance than anything. I have been this way most of my life and have not noticed that I've suffered any from it. I got thinking about this the other day and wondered if I am the exception. So my question is, do you find it necessary to have friends? Do you keep in contact with them often? Could you live with no friends?

I think relationships are important. I am terrible about keeping in touch. And I am sure I could live with out friends but I wouldnt like it. I am one that thinks one very good friend is better than 10 acquaintances.

Laglen, thanks and I have heard many people say that about 1 good friend. I do have 1 good friend that I call about once a year.

Even myself too I do not like to be with friends as many of them seems to be selfish and opportunists. After gaining lot of experience I avoided them slowly not hurting them and just to be away from them and safeguard myself I tell lies,to get avoided. I enjoy being alone as we can attempt many works otherwise it will be a great disturbance from friends.

I love my friends i cant say that they are the best but i am very lucky to have them beacause in good and in bad times they are always at my side supporting anything that i do. You know i cant live without them because they always makes me smile, cheers me up when im down, they always fight for me when i have enemies. They are just like my bothers and my sister.=)

I love friends. I keep in contact with them and I am happy to be around them. I find it strange that you find the an annoyance but some pewople are just like that. If you find peace in isolation, then so be it. However you should take care...you might be suffering from a people disorder or something...

Thanks for responding Kenruno. I dont think I have a people disorder though, I just prefer to be alone.

I have to be completely honest with you, I have honestly gone 15 years without a friend there for me. I've talked to people but juss never really had someone. I guess those first 15 years of my life didnt help very much because now Im really "shy" and quiet around people. I wont even talk to my closest friend on the phone, we only ever text. soooo to answer your question, yes you definetly can live with no friends, buttt i have learned it doesnt do you any good :p
