No, it's not. Just follow the body's homeostasis, If you feel warm, then take a bath with a little cold water, and if you feel cold, then take warm water for bathing.

I too, used to take a bath in the evening because of the hot weather, etc. Well, yes! taking a bath in the evening is not that good in the body because it lowers the blood level in the body it can make you anemic. My father usually say that when we take a bath in the evening the heat in the body goes up and releases in the eye which is not also good, another thing is that if you slept that your hair is wet can cause you headache. I guess the best solution to that is when you take a bath it should be 4 or 5pm so you can have time to make your hair dry and if possible you take a bath without making your hair wet. But the best solution is to take a bath in the right time- morning

no, it does not lowers blood level. Filipinos and even others, especially the elderly, just have these superstitious beliefs which are not necesarilly true.

Well taking a bath is good for your health because it encourages proper hygiene. But don't take a bath with cold water if you just did some activities which made you felt a little bit exhausted because in that situation, your blood vessels are dilated because your body part, especially you brain, needs a lot of oxygen.. and when you took a bath with cold water your blood vessels would constrict that could result to some complications

It depends. If you are very active in the day you shouldn't take a bath in the evening because it's not good for the body to get wet when it's tired. People tell me that showering very late at night would also make me anemic, but I'm not sure if this is true or not.

Dont worry, there no bad effect to your health if you take shower in the evening. It will only bring problem if you take shower in the midnight and if u make that as a habit, u will get a disease(i forgot the name)...So, never make that(taking shower during midnight) that as your routine.

There is nothing about it that is bad for your health. Sometimes our mothers have weird superstitions. I would guess what she really means is "your making too much noise and wake me up". lol

I'll take my shower till 9PM only, past on that I'll used wet wipes to freshen my body. It depend maybe on accustomed with. But its not bad to follow as what our older says, taking care of our health so that no regrets happen in the next. I had a friend in high school and so as in college practicing like yours to awake their mind especially during exams and their eyes was affected.

It depends if you are prone to catching cold otherwise I don’t think it can be a problem. I have myself taken a bath at around midnight many times…in fact, on very hot days or if I’m mentally disturbed and cant sleep, a shower has always helped me to feel cool and sleepy.

My grandfather used to say that too, that it's bad to take a shower in the evening. I don't believe it. I cannot think of any reason why it's bad to take a shower in the evening or midnight. I always take showers at evening too and I really think there's nothing wrong or why it's bad for the health. I don't think it's bad or it has any effect to the body. I suggest the next time you take a shower in the evening and when your mother says that again, ask her why. Maybe she knows.

When I was in school I always take a bath before going to bed, so that my long hair is dried up when I go to school the next day. I just have a body shower before going to school. My mother often tell me that it is bad to take a bath at night because I will get anemic. I been doing this for ages now and have been used to it especially now that it is very hot this season here in my country and I can't sleep if I haven't taken my bath. I guess, it is just one of the old folks' tale not to take a bath at night. It is best to go to bed clean and fresh for you to have a sound sleep.

not at all. I would think its fine. I mostly take showers as soon as I wakeup but sometimes when I stay up all night, I'll get in the shower "early" at like 1 or 2 am lol. Its fine, the only thing wrong with that is the lack of sleep your getting. Besides that your all good :)

Since it was your mom who led you to believe or become skeptical about taking a shower in the evening then you should ask her. I myself don't think there's anything wrong with taking a bath or shower in the evening. I've never heard of such a thing?? Have a nice day

i have heard about people catching cold when they spend much time in the shower especially during the cold seasons, it is ideal to take showers only for few minutes to avoid any form of infections that are water borne, i do believe it can affect you health to some extent

Hi, If you got a habit of showering in the night and continuing from along period of time, it is ok. Because your body is in tune with your untimely routines. So I think it will not harm your body. Still, if you think that the untimely showering is harmful, just do right things in right time, nothing can compete to it. Regards, Thank-s

This is something that older generations believed and when they were originally told this it probably had some validity. The way I always heard the saying is that you never went to bed with your head wet. This was because the heat source was usually a large wood stove in a downstairs living area. The bedrooms were not individually heated and they believed you would catch cold in the middle of the night with wet hair and could possibly die from it. None of this is true and taking a shower at midnight should have no ill effects on your health, other than cutting into your available sleeping time.

I never heard of taking a shower at any time being bad for us. I would think if you took one in the evening it will help you to relax and fall asleep faster. My boyfriend always takes a shower before going to sleep and it hasn't effected him in any way.

My grandmother used to tell me that taking a bath at midnight is bad for your health and might cause anemia or something like that. Needless to say I did not follow her advice. I used to work graveyard shift which starts at 1:00 am and I can not go to work without taking a bath so I really have to take a bath during midnight.
