Are you going to watch Happy Town?

Do you think it will just be similar to Harper's Island or whatever it was called that CBS had on last year? It does seem a little ridiculous to have a villain called the Magic Man.

I watched it, and thought it was pretty good in fact. The name the Magic Man doesn't bother me, because when it comes to serial killers and the like they end up with some weird and in some cases funny names based on how they commit their acts of violence. The Magic Man fits his MO, everything disappears just like if he were a magician. Sounds like something a small town would develop as a name for such an occurrence.

I'm looking forward to watching Happy Town. It looks like its going to be a bit scary and fun to watch. I just hope its a good show and that they give the show time to find its audience. So many times a new show comes on board and it then disappears. They broadcast it a couple of weeks and then the show is gone. The worse is when the show is on for a season and now you have invested your time and love of the characters and then they cancel the show. That makes me so angry.

The reviews for Harper's Island were much better than the reviews I've been reading about Happy Town. But like you, I thought of Harper's Island when I first saw the commercials for it. It has a nice cast, so you'd think the acting wouldn't be a problem. Hopefully, the story is better than what people say it is.

I love what I've seen of the show so far, but unfortunately ABC is already pulling the plug on it and is going to air the last episode at the end of June. It sucks because I feel like all of the good, intelligent shows aren't given a chance. Being on at 10pm is kind of a weird time slot for a show so I'm not surprised the ratings aren't amazing.

I recently discovered the show through Hulu and watched all eight episodes. But as the last post said, the show was canceled and the last episode was the 8th episode. I'm really upset they canceled the show! I mean, eight episodes?! It wasn't the greatest show, but it kept me entertained and that's pretty hard to do. Considering the 8th episode was the last, I still have a lot of questions that won't ever get answered! I'm so upset about that. I hate ABC, they're always canceling shows and never giving them a chance. I mean, geeze, it takes a while to build a dedicated audience. And half the time the show was never on TV when it was supposed to be. I was only able to watch on hulu. Grr, ABC. You ruin so many nice things.
