I believe that most mylotters here feel very happy when they see that there are a lot of responses in their topics. But thinking of a nice and relevant topic can be hard sometimes. How do you choose a topic that would be helpful for everyone here at mylot? What topics that you started have had the most number of responses so far?

oh yes yes... I'm a fresh graduate and sometimes I wonder how people get jobs especially if they're not part of the top universities in the country. Actually, under employment is more rampant -- being employed in a job that is not related to your course :)

I got some 80+ for the first time. And actaully it's really hard to think of a best topic.. and I found many nice topics which yielded only few responses too... I do not know exactly but perhaps all of us here have different interests, when our topic is lucky enough to catch there interst and mood of many mylotters, that maybe the time to get many responses.

Yeah, I think mood is also important. There was a time when I continuously started topics and get a lot of replies for them. But when I did the exact same thing the next week, I didn't get that much anymore. I guess, it depends on the people online.

I mean specially if many of our friends are online on that particular time, because they can always notice our new posts...

I agree. It is very hard to find topics that everyone could agree to reply on. And its hard to make a unique topic, some of the topic here in Mylot have been repeated so many times. MOreover, the topics that I have started that I received so many responses was about my personal problems. IT was about me being sad with my life and I have been used but some people do not appreciate me being there. I want to kill myself back then to end the misery. As soon as I posted the discussion here, someone responded that makes me change my mind. I guess problems about life and different things outnumbered the responses because all of us have problems and all of us needed advices of everyone.

Starting discussions are very useful when you need an advice. Actually, I notice that mylotters are very helpful. They respond and even give you good advice. Not only did you earn money, you even had a different view of your problem and your life :)

The first discussion I posted which got the most responses are not really serious but more on easy to think and post responses like "What do you want:Apple of Pineapple and why?", or "What is your happiest day, during morning or in the afternoon", topics which never require too much thinking and brain-pondering. These are the topics which interest members and enticed them to answer because it doesn't require deep reasoning or confrontation of the mind. It is a lot easier.

I agree! I do that sometimes and I get an average of 15-25 responses per topic. Mylotters would prefer to answer easy questions since we are answering to many topics in the same day.

It is really hard to tell since each and everyone of us has different interest and way of thinking so you can't say that what you consider as a good topic will also appear that way to others, too. We only respond to topics that are of interest to us or we can relate to such. It doesn't matter if it is of great substance or a simple ranting. Some discussions that gained really a great number of discussions are those which doesn't require heavy thinking or intellectual responses, just simple and everyday facts. I have discussions that gained a 100 plus respondents in just a couple of hours but it was deleted because i was talking about earnings there.:-) Which is a bad thing for the respondents.:-(

Lol, that just shows that people are really interested in making money. But mylotters are very well aware of rules right now, which is good :) There's no need to see our discussions being deleted.

hi pierella.,i'm just new here in mylot and the most exciting part of my experience here is that when i once created a discussion, in just a minute away when i reload it,i was then surprise that it has already a number one which that shows that somebody had posted a comment there..i think it was the question about planning to have a computer shop business, and i really got an idea of how can i approach to make another discussion..i secondly started a discussion related to it and badly it got only 4 responses, but i didn't loose hope, then i started a discussion so called watching movies alone or with somebody and it almost got 11 response through it..So everytime i got an idea i used to write it so i wont forget it,and when i log in i just copy it.lolz..

It is hard coming up with a good topic, as my mind will go a total blank, and it is so frustrating. I don't reaslly start all that many discussions for that reason, and I really don't get all that many responses either, not like some do, and that alone is discouraging as well. I try to come up with thing that I hope would be interesting enough, but I just can't seem to. I am glad that I do get some responses though, as it is better than nothing, but I don't get as many responses as I would like or hope to get. I just find it easier to post responses, where I don't have to think of a topic. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I recently (oh yes what a late bloomer I am!) realized that the topics that get more responses are those that are more grounded to every day life. Things that most people can relate to.
