today i received a phone call from offering data entry job
they asked me to pay some amount in icici bank
any one ever tried

It is obvious that this is a scam. Every site that asks you money in order to give you money is a scam.
There are so many free legit sites out there, make a search and you will find many of them to join and earn online.

No. Don't pay them. Anyone. AS others rightly said, if they were to provide you with a job, why do they need any payment at all from you?
See mylot! They have spent money to install the software, to buy the domain space and name, and to keep updating the logic for payments.
And, they NEVER charged you for joining here and start earnings.
Of course, if the job mentioned is involving some LOSS or RISK to the employer, they might take a REFUNDABLE/ADJUSTABLE deposit. But, you were telling about data entry job.
Don't fall for such tricks. Good Luck
