Do you recommend 'ETHICAL HACKING' as a career to your kids?

I am in a moral dilemma. One of my associates has a son, who is technically very profound and strong. He has done many courses in computers and software and is considered a genius among his group of friends. Now, this boy is pestering his MOTHER regarding joining the group of ETHICAL HACKERS . Not that he requires either the permission or the money for doing a course. But, he felt it obligatory to inform his parents about his choice of career. Now, as an advisor, I was pulled into this ring. I have googled about ethical hacking. Ethical Hacking – is also known as penetration testing, intrusion testing, red teaming .... ethical hacking. What should I advise? What would YOU do, if it is your own son? Is there any such thing called ethical bank looting? Is it the modern ROBIN HOOD?

If he keeps on the track of wanting to do it to keep users safe then yes it is something I would recommend. If he is doing it for the money i would not suggest it because then he would be easily influenced to work both sides of the community.

if you sign him up for a course they can do that but if you mean at home you could get to meet some of the people involved with the course and then get a key logger to see what he is inputting and show them to the instructors.

thanks. I have just received an email, informing about the key logger. I think, you should start a topic about key logger, and the uses for monitoring your kids' computer usage.

Being a Hacker is so cool. There's no reason why kids should be stopped to do what they like , Also Ethical Hackers can have a good career because they write and create many piece of source codes and software. Many companies employ people with theses ability. SO it would be a good choice for the future

dear bob, thanks for the support to the kid's cause. By the way, .. you mentioned that companies employ people with these abilities.. Do you really think, that they would employ? Or would they just out-source such coders? i have TO do more searching on this, but, if you can add to the knowledge and information, I shall pass it on to the parents. Thanks.
