Try to download freeware at http://download.cnet.com/windows/. No.1 is AVG then Avast then Avira. I think all of them are good antivirus.

my personal choice, Microsoft Security Essentials..light weight, auto update.. next is avira, then avast.. avg, has drops its ranking due to its high detection but low healing/repair capabilities

Hi friend best antivirus is Avira you can download it without any charge now a days this is popular antivirus, it will find bootsector viruses and spywares and protect computer from dangerous threats, mind it only personal edition is freeware, install it dont forget scan your system atleast twice a weak.

avg is the best, even the free version, it does a regular schedule scan and will scan certain parts of your pc when you want, very reliable aswell!
