Hello Cricket Fan... One think i can't understand why ICC want india to host the ODI WC 2011 jointly with BL AND SL.as INDIA is capable to host this big tournament alone in well manner..and india has proved how good it is in organising the big tournament as we organise the IPL in a good passion..if WI gave the chance to host the world cup lonely..why not india...1996 WC was also organised jointly with our neighbour cricket nation.. It means ICC underestimate our capability to host ODI WC alone.. Friends do you ever thought about this...What you think why ICC do this..?

I think ICC has done the right thing. There is no doubt that India alone can host such a big tournament but a country like Bangladesh does not have enough resources to do so. With this ICC has given opportunity to a country like Bangladesh to co host the world cup. Revenues generated by it can be used for the betterment of cricket there.

Icc wishes to make other countries a part of world cup as these nation wont host a world cup alone. when world cup is hosted in south africa kenya and zimbawe are also part of it.

It's because ICC won't give Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangaldesh to host any world cups individually.... These countries are not THAT developed as India and do not have too many grounds like India does. Imagine a world cup being played in such a small country like Sri Lanka who should host 16 countries. Also, the security in Pakistan at the moment is thin. One more reason I think is that all the 3 nations Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh are so close to each other. Same goes with South Africa, Zimbabwe and kenya AND Australia, NewZealand. Since the countries are in the same sub-continent I think it will be easy for ICC to split the matches among these and let the main country be the main host.

I think it is depend in ICC rotation rule.. which they give to every cricket country.. and sometimes they provide rights to held tournament to multiple countries.. and sometimes they give to only one country.. so i think.. it is totally depend on ICC.. rule... good day..

Well said m8..But personally I think that ICC have done the right thing . A country like SL and Bangladesh do not have too many grounds to host a WC . And they should also have a chance to host a WC . So thats why ICC had done that . ALso if you look at all past worl cups , all were held jointly . 2003 WC was help in SA , ZIM and Kenya . 2007 WC was held In West Indies which is a bunch of many countries like Antigua and Jamaica .

I think its because the ICC aims to take an event like the World Cup all around the world. Since its in the Indian subcontinent this time, the other test playing nations in the region have also been given co-hosts status. There is no doubt though, about India's capability to host the event by itself.
