Oil spillage - The threat for natural habitat

Its sure that the oil spillage in sea will create many disturbances in the natural habitat and will result in the death of any animals. how do u think about it? and what all steps we should take to prevent it?

Oil is a basic necessity that we need everyday especially those large factories that requires oil power to generate their machine to work. Oil are usually being delivered through the sea and accidents rarely happen where spillage can be resulted. Not only animals are to be endangered here but as well as we human individuals.
