Often people think that can will only amuse themselves and will not want to play with the owner. This is often not the case. Playing with your cat can be very therapeutic as well as fun. It also can be a way to release some anxiety and stress. One thing that you should know is that you can use simple items around your house to play with your cat. You do not have to go out and buy them expensive toys, this is only a ploy by those companies wanting to make money off you. Having a Box, some yarn or any string will work. We play with our cat on a daily basis and she expects it as well. She will only come and try to get me to play with her when she wants to play. Not only when she was a kitten but as she gets bigger as well. People often think once they reach a year old that they will not play as they did when they were a kitten, that is not true. Take the time and play with your cat or other animals you will be glad you did. Be sure to comment here on how you play with your cat.

I love playing with my cat. She's amused by the simplest things. Her favorite is a cardboard box. She also loves any kind of string (she chases my shoe strings) and these little foam cat balls. She'll play fetch with the balls if my dogs leave her alone. She gets grumpy when she's trying to play and my dogs are bugging her. I guess that's why she loves her box so much. She can hide in it with her toys and play and the dogs can't get to her :)

I like to play with my cat. I like to play after work to go out the stress.
