I was reading a personality development book today and was wondering does books really have an impact on LIFE? Can we change from unsuccessful persons to successful ones just by the effect of such books? If u found any such book please tell me about it!

Reading a personality development is very useful but it all depends upon the interest of your reading and he points which are being liked by you. Every book is inspirational provided i\f it is read with concentration and a deep interest to develop. Your thoughts are very helpful for your development because it is you who are reading

If you think about it, all the thoughts and inspirations you get from a book comes from the author so the author is really the one inspiring you and it's just one person. And it depends. If you're gonna let the book have an impact on you then it will. If you won't then it won't.

I definitely believe a book can change your life, I've read quotes by Emerson and Mahatma Gandhi talking about how the Bhagavad Gita inspired and motivated them. Even in terms of personal development they provide an abundance of inspiration and many successful people have done well after reading books in the field. Take Steve Pavlina for example- he's earned so much money and fame (as well as achieving a healthy lifestyle) because of his passion for personal development. Personally I have enjoyed reading Srila Prabhupada's books as well as a book called Being Happy by Andrew Matthews which is a simple and fun yet thoughtful book. I would recommend it to everyone!

It depends if the person reading the book buys what he or she reads or not. I read a lot of books and some of the books I've read have really taught me to be something else. I won't recommend books for you because different people have different tastes and beliefs. A good book for me might not be good for you at all.

I totally agree with you that some books are worth reading and has an impact to its readers. Personally, there are books that i have read that impacts my life and thus greatly affects me. But there are lots of book out there that just talks nonsense.
