This year has been too full of tragedy in my view so the fact that Bret Michaels has been discharged from hospital (and is expected to make a complete recovery from the bleeding on his brain) is brilliant news! He has to rest totally for at least 6 weeks, apparently. Whether he does or not remains to be seen. I think he will, though as it's in his own interests to do so. Isn't that great news?

You are most welcome my friend. It was strange when I was playing a few Poison tracks when he was in hospital. I didn't feel sad at all, quite upbeat actually. I'm hoping a few other people did that in the US too because those eyes of his are too beautiful to be shut permanently.

Although I am not personally familiar with his music, I still think it is great. It gets sad after awhile when so many celebrities as well as so many of my friends are suffering tragedies and dying. Thanks for a happy post today.

You are most welcome! Last week I spent hours playing all the Poison albums I have (and luckily they are all here and not at Mum's house) so I did my bit projecting positive vibes. I don't think I had an impact on his recovery but at least he is getting better now, which is brilliant for his fans and - more importantly, his friends and family.

Great news indeed. Didn't have have a reality show recently? I'm sure watching a bunch of nice looking ladies fawn all over you doesn't take that much effort, or cause any stress. He probably won't miss any time doing that during his recovery.

Yes, I believe he was on a reality TV show over in the US. I'm in the UK but I have read about it. He comes across as being a nice guy, actually and the type of person that has many friends and family rallying round, protecting him. So, hopefully, he shall have the 6 weeks of rest he needs in order to re-charge his batteries, so to speak. It's made my day that he's now out of hospital.

This is great news. Bret Michaels is a great musician and is an inspiration to many. His battle with diabeties and his act work to bring awareness to this disease is outstandings. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to him.

I echo those sentiments, my friend. I think his body was probably trying to tell him to slow down a bit. Hopefully, he will do for the recommended 6 weeks!
