Cat as a better listener

Have you ever think that your cat is a better listener than the people around you? If it does, please share your experience. For me it was like whenever I've got problems that other people will judge me more than listening to me, I know it sounds stupid to talk to my cat, but it seems even tough it doesn't talk back it just look at me in the eyes and snuggled up just to give a gesture that everything's gonna be alright. How bout you cat lovers?

Animals in general are some of the best listners. As you stated they are non judgemental and give affection freely. And most of the time when you are talking to your pet, you are not looking for an answer, but simply need a sounding board to make sure you are thinking clearly or to let off steam. And often their body language can give you an indication as to how they are feeling about whatever you are talking about. I know my little dog will look at me an tilt her head back in forth if I am saying something with the right inflection in my voice, as if she is truely interested in what I have to say. Otherwise she will go find a place an curl up and go to sleep as if I a boring her.

Yes I agree with you. At some point having a pet can have mental effects on us. Especially if we want to let our steam off. Sometimes if they don't understand to what we're saying. At least we got some company to talk to. The movie Marley and Me for instance.

I think so like other animals cat is a better listener too. You try to call them "muning psssswwwsssswww" lol hehe they are going to come after you seeking for food. lmao. My cat though they are just a local one when I tried to make sweet gestures calling them by their name they respond by walking after you. Cats are really sweet.

I keep telling my cats to put the laundry away and they don't do it, however, they will snuggle into it and sleep! Also she is sleeping on the bed and I have told her last one up has to make the bed but she just looks at me and snuggles deeper in. So I am not to sure about listening or maybe it is just "OBEYING!"

Our pets listen because obviously they can't talk to tell us about their opinion about what we are telling them. On cats as a better listener, I'll say it applies to all pets. I once had a hamster who really seems to listen to whatever I'm telling it. As for my cat, he doesn't seem to listen much. I am actually thinking he's just hanging around with me so I could stroke his fur.
