Do you prefer to buy expensive clothes with famous names of their designers?I personally buy a lot of cheaper stuff and try to combine them in a way that I look different every day.I am not sure everyone would find out I had given 200dollars for a new skirt if I don't say it and I don't have this habbit. So I just don't waste my money in this way.But I know many people do it.Can you tell me why?

I buy both. It depends on how the store is known. I prefer buying from stores that I feel like there's a small chance that you walk on the street and see someone wearing the same thing as you do. I avoid department store clothes cause I know for sure that I can't go to the mall without seeing someone wearing the same thing. But I shop of thrift stores there are a lot of unique items there. :)

for classic items that never go out of style,it is much better to spend a little more.it is good to spend some money on a good pair of jeans,a nice white blouse, and a sexy black dress.for trends,it is much better to buy them in lesser price because once the fad is out,you may regret spending a huge amount for it.my clothes are combination of both expensive and cheap.I am proud to say I have Marc Jacobs,Dolce and Gabbana,BCBG,and Guess clothes that I got for low,low price, and they are lovely until now.

i think that it is sad that people feel the need to compete when it comes to clothes and to that end, i never buy anything that is from a famous designer. i have to say i do have some pieces but they were hand me downs from friends. i only shop at thrift stores and garage sales for my clothes.

Some people feel better wearing designer items because they feel their clothes DEFINE them. That they are capable of buying something ridiculously expensive but looks like you can make at home. Let's take a Louis Vuitton bag for example. I personally dislike it. I mean, a brown bag with monograms that cost you, what, more than what you earn? For the person who is not in the "know", it's a waste of money. It's a show off. It's better buying another bag for $10 but still looks cute. Others, however, would tell you that the bag is WORTH more than its cost. The leather on real LV bags turn a nice color after years of use, it's more durable, the workmanship is better, yada yada yada. But to buy it just because wearing it gets you admiring looks from women on the street is plain childish. Although it's a plus. And yeah, if the bag were a gift from somebody, I'm not gonna complain. For me though, I like buying expensive things just because they look good, and I look good IN them. So I am not going to buy McQueen lobster shoes because heaven knows I am going to hit my head on the pavement before I could even walk. In general, I buy from thrift stores because they offer unique and affordable finds. Lately I have been lying low on buying because I take the time to "style" my clothes and make them work for me. Like using leggings as jacket sleeves, et cetera, making your brother's shirt a dress. At the end of the day, how you feel and look in your clothes is all that really matters.

I dont like buying expensive clothes because I think they are not worth it. I always thinks that its impractical to buy something very expensive especially if its clothes. I'd rather buy more items rather than spend more and there's only one.

I love new clothes :) If I always bought expesive clothes I'd pay a small fortune for that. :) And anyways sometimes you can get cheaper clothes that look just as great (or even better) but don't have a famous brand name.
