Nessie or the Loch Ness Monster is reputed to live in the deep, deep waters of Loch Ness in Scotland. Is she real or is she a great tourist trap? Well I have been to Loch Ness many times and seen no sign of her, but there are lots of things that exist that I haven't witnessed!! The Loch (ie Lake) is so deep who knows what lurks at the bottom of it! In 1934 the famous photo ( that I have included) was taken that was seen as proof of this prehistoric monster's existence, but in 1994 it was exposed to be a hoax. This is not a new story sightings of the monster go back to 565 AD when St Columba is said to have seen the monster!! Thousands of sightings have been reported but we have no proof, is this video proof, take a look and let me know what you think!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-Q-IwUijoc

New animals are discovered every year, some are large animals, like a new species of dolphins in Australia in 2005 : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4651383.stm I believe that Nessie and other water or sea snakes are possible. Anyway, this monster is good for tourism in Britain. I went to Loch Ness with my camera a few years ago and took some photos... of Castle Urquhart !

i won't be surprised if nessie is indeed true. hard to think that we have seen everything in the world. anyway, nessie has placed loch ness lake in the map and has captured the imagination of everyone. i personally think nessie is a large sea snake that have evolved to live in the depths of the lake. doubt if there will ever be proof about this one but one would think that we the technology available nowadays, we can easily investigate the matter and send an unmanned submersible in the lake to look for any living organisms there. i guess scientists have better things to do and wouldn't want to burst the bubble of nessie believers.
