My mother said I couldn't fall in love
She also said I wouln't pass high school
But I stayed true and I passed with flying colors
She said no guy is good enough and that I should wait for a man
But mama, I must learn and grown in order for a REAL man to want me
She said they will cut you and break you
I think it's a given on both sides
She cussed every attempt I made
I lost a potential man
She told me a real man will fight for you and provide for your needs
Well mama, that is just what I got
He placed a ring on my finger, he promised to cherish me till I pass

thats really nice.congratulations!. well, you can only best learn life through experience. my mom always tell me that experience is the best teacher. not that she lets me have boyfriends here and there but to learn and look at the brighter side whenever i fail.

and yes, when i think about it now though, it is best to learn learn learn but it truly is hard to learn watching people huh?
but if i become a mother, I would do the same, I would not let my daughter date here and there just to learn things lol.
