I know this sounds stupid but after a post I made earlier I started thinking... You hear about racism all over the world in all sorts of cultures, but have you ever heard of people being racist against whites people? Does this happen to white people and if it has happened to you what was your experience and how did it affect you?

Racial prejudice happens to whites. Racism is racial prejudice backed by the power of law or society. So, no, people aren't racist against whites when they're racially prejudiced against them because the difference in backing power means the impact is different.

Racism exists everywhere so no doubt by default will exist against whites as well. The only question is how much and how many white people live in a place where they might face racism. Usually countries predominantly white it is other minorities who live their for whatever reason face racism. So now the point to consider do whites face the same kind of racism from those minorities, could be there is racism but not in the face. So we're not dealing with it or doesn't affect us simply because we don't come across it. Certainly if you go to an area predominantly people from other minorities many have faces some sort of racism. There could also be reverse racism, people who have faced racism still having thar resentment. In SA whites are a minority but the degradation the Black majority faced the resentment and hatred wouln't simply dissappear in few years. So many whites now face racism as well. I did read somewhere someone went to an African country and faced racism there. Also keeping in mind again they still have deep resentment of being colonized. Nonetheless no matter what the reason racism is not acceptable. To answer your question its not an easy answer, for one it seems for exactly the same thing if whites face it wouln't be considered racism. Its hard to define and measure. Other minorities are a minority and most racism directed towards them, so racism usually asscociated with non-whites. Most people I know when gone to other countries have had no problem, rather been a great experience.
