its my day off today, election day here in the Philippines. for almost a month i was not able to share and join discussions here because i am working now with a call center company. having a job is fulfilling - i am learning new skills and experience, but i had many difficulties: i had a difficult work schedule - 2:00pm to 10:00pm on the first and 2nd week, and 10:00pm to 6:00am on the 3rd and 4th week, when i come home, i had to sleep, sleep, sleep... less time with my family, and i always feel exhausted. this 15th, is my payday... my first real money from hard work

Congratulations and welcome to the world of the working. It's true, schedules can be very punishing. That's why it's all the more important to eat healthy and take vitamins. Enjoy payday!

It really is a test of your patience when you work in a call center. It's one of my weaknesses as well like working in different shifts. But its just how you view your work. Is is something that you would want to do as of this point? Is it just because you don't have a choice? It is because of the cash? It really depends on how you answer these questions and how you would be able to cope to your call center job.

You have to be very flexible with schedule. Let me rephrase that, you have to be flexible with extreme schedules given by your workforce team. Sometimes, you can just ask yourself, is their job description is to make agent's life miserable? Haha just kidding. Expect more when you hit the floor. How can those rude and irate callers can almost make you cry? Almost? Haha I have tons of friends who cried a lot during their first day of taking calls. You have to be ready, physically, mentally, emotionally. Congratulations to your new work. What I always do before taking calls? Pray, pray hard. That's a piece of advise I can share hehe.
