I look like my cousin?

I usually hang out with my family, cousins and other relatives nowadays. Most of the time they thought that my girl cousin was my sister because according to them, I look a lot like her than my real sister. The same happened to a classmate I thought that it was her sister in the photo but when I confirmed who was with her, she said it's her cousin. Have you experienced this too? What was your usual reaction?

Everyone thinks my little brother looks like my son because we have such an age difference between us of 14 years. I went to a party with my little brother and met another lady and I asked her about one of the boys and asked if it was her son, turns out it was her little brother and she had a 13 year difference from him. Just kinda of a weird thing.

One of my friend's is 14 yrs younger than her sister and when her sister got married and had children before she was 20, there she was at 12-14 sitting for her sister's boys. She'd answer the door and people would assume she was the older sister of the 2 boys

that was fun to know and I was really shocked to know that you and your brother had such great age difference I cant imagine how would you relate things and how would you interact with each other. Well, that's somehow a fun thing though.

I have a sister and then there was a gal at school that had the same name and also looked like me, so when they asked if I had a sister by that name, I had to ask where they knew her from - most of the time they meant the gal at school - at least I KNEW her! Since I grew up 1500 miles from my relatives it wasn't until I was in college that I ever ended up in a class with my cousin, and then it was only that we have a rather uncommon last name and were sitting together that had the prof ask if we were related...

haha... That was funny! We had somehow same experience then but the only difference is that my cousin is 6 years younger than I so I don't have the opportunity to have her as my seatmate or even classmate in any subject. Thanks for sharing Elic
