Do you have any reasons to quit your job?

complications - This photo shows some complications in the formation of this material. Like work, there are also complications but the complications sometimes make it beautiful.

If you are to quit your job now, what are the possible reason you have that would lead to quit your job. Does it have something to do with the nature of your work? Does it have something to do with the management? Does it have something to do with the people you are working with? These days, its difficult to get a job and there are people who wanted to quit their job for some reasons. As of now, there are so many things in my work place that will make me stay and there are more reasons for me to quit. What about you? What do you have to say about this?

I quit my last job, which people say"my comfort zone" NOT because I don`t like the job. I like teaching, but I got bored with the situation after most of my colleagues left. We used to have a strong teamwork and we had fun. but after one by one left the office, and I started getting bored with teaching at the same place all the time, I thought I need a fresh air. Then, I decided to be a freelance teacher, teaching from companies to companies. It doesn`t mean I don`t want to have permanent job, but I don`t know, maybe I am too lazy for that? But I hope next week, I will start my training in translation agency (if there`s no interesting opportunity again, and I think the training will be useful for me as I am planning someday to work as translator from home)

Me too! I am also hoping for greater opportunities cause I know there are just one job out there that rightfully belong to us. I am not lucky with my present job so I'll just have to look for that job that will help me all the way.

i guess in my part i have my reasons to quit my job..i want to earn more so that i may be able to help my parents financially...my mom is a plain housewife and she is running a farm wherein it is not own by her..my dad works as an employee in an electric company. in 2013 my dad is planning to retire from his job for the reason that he is ill. i wish that before that year i will be able to work to other country and hoping that they will offer me a salary that i can provide for them...i know that there are people who are seeking for a job but being practical you will grab a big opportunity for you to be able to provide your family...

There are a lot of people who wanted to work in other countries because the pay there is better. But I never considered that cause there are other things in my country that I do to make more money. I think it will now depend on how you are going to work for it.
12 May 10
yes that is why people work in other countries because they offer good salaries for them...a lot of my co workers went abroad since hospitals in other countries offer high salaries with good benefits also.with my job as a nurse having low salary here in my country is not enough...sometimes i worked for 12 hours since our hospital is under staff right now..all we need is a better salary that it may be able to help our family...i guess it is not a reason for you to quit your job simply because you're too hardworking and you're very assertive on how to earn money...

If I were to quit my job right now, it would be on personal reasons. I would say that I have family issues to take care of and that my focus is on the family at the moment. The current job that I'm in is not too bad. I have a lot of liberty in what I do. I don't have problems with the management or my colleagues.

I didn't like my first job. But I hung on until I got another one before quitting. So when you leave, you just tell them that you have another better, more challenging job ahead of you. That would be a very good reason.

Good for you! I think I dont have any luck with the job I have here in this place. I had a stable job when I was still in my hometown but I have to live it cause I got married and have to stay in my husbands town. If I would quit my job, the bulk of the reason has something to do with everything in the company.

My one and only reason would just be money. The salary is too low. But I love the job, I love the management, and I love the people that I work with. I just hope that the company would consider giving us higher salaries specially now that expenses are just too high.
• Philippines

Yep, that's really low, and my salary is around those numbers. I have thought about getting a new job, but I just don't have the will to start applying again. I am just afraid that I won't find something that is really lax on the load of work and have a great management as well..

I am not sure if $1.5 is a low pay for you but for me it is very low. There are other companies that offers 3.5 dollars an hour so I would definitely go there because of that and their management is also better than the kind of management we have here.

hi p3!! I want to quit my job because of the working environment. Sometimes no matter how big the pay could be it wouldn't matter if you are not happy with it. Unfortunately I have to stick to it or else. I wouldn't have money for my family. I try to be as patient as I can.

I have another co worker who is also working with me in our company and the main reason that she wanted to quit the job is because of the environment. We have been working here for almost a year now and it was good at first but suddenly the people in the company especially the management became airheads and we dont want to work with them anymore.

Hi p3 I feel you. I'm very open minded when it comes to this kinds of things. It really comes to me at times but I'm really trying that it won't come to me. i don't have problems with them afterwork maybe they are pressured as me as well. They just don't know how to do the right approach in making things right.

One reason would be because there's another opportunity waiting out there that gives better pay and is nearer home, which is what happened to me just recently. Another was, in my new job, I could better practice what I went to the university for. I could say the workload is also a factor, especially if the compensation and workload do not meet at all. But then again, other people would continue working for their present company even if they are unhappy because in the end, it's hard to get a job nowadays.

I applied for a new job a few weeks ago and I am still waiting. If its going to offer me something more then I am going to quit my job right away. I am even thinking of immediate resignation just to show the manager that I am so mad at them. But I am not gonna do that, if I do that then its also like stooping down to his level.

Yes, and you might possibly be on the losing side too because you will be the one out of a job. They could just hire another employee and you will be at home still annoyed over everything. It's definitely a wise decision to look for another job first and then resign.

i do! i guess it's all of the above. i hate the nature of the work, because it makes me feel small and inferior. i really don't like feeling that way. and i know that nobody can make me feel inferior without my consent, but it's hard not to feel it, when people can scream and say mean things at you. i hate the management because there's too much favoritism. i hate the people that i work with because everyone's so plastic and self-absorbed and too arrogant. for me, there are more reasons to quit than to stay. honestly, i don't even know why i stay anymore. it's not like the pay's that good either. sorry to vent out on you :) you just really hit a nerve :)

Is it a common thing for companies to have that kind of working environment? I mean, the company where I am at right not is exactly what you described. I dont like to think about it that way but they really are and I cant deny the fact. Especially with arrogance and all that. The kind of company people have reflects the kind of manager they also have.

the reasons why I or anyone else would quit or stay at a job don't serve you as a guide for you to make a decision about yours. However many would chose to stay for the mere benefit of continuing money income flow. Some would chose to leave because that job my no longer fit in their live style and choices or taste.

Speaking about the decision that you have to make yourself, there are so many things that are happening here in the company that doest respect our decision anymore. Like 2 weeks ago there was a rule implemented by the administration and they didnt even ask the body about it. They are making decision for themselves and expects us to follow it even if we dont like it.

Oh yes, I can see how that would be the case. You know unless you have your money riding and supporting the operations there, that will be the case someone in corporate will decide ways of running the business and everyone else must follow through.

Good for you you have luck in your present job. I dont have any arguments with my boss but I always ask him questions but he doesnt know how to answer me well. I always ask him about our payments and just tell us it is a confidential issue. Like what?!! He always told me we cant be paid for working for 2 holidays cause there are no funds in the company but I dont believe it cause they were able to buy a tv, treadmill, made a cupboard that really costs a lot, bought an air conditioner and other company activities and things that they do that doesnt include us. So I dont give a _________ about what he is saying. He is a liar.

Occupational chacracteristics of a person determines the skill level and his future development.Unless it is only to give up work to learn. So first of all consider them seriously. The first is to learn there are leaning objectives, there is a saying that you shouldn't do a thing stranger.Re-learning objective is not to the work of the centre? If the title can be upgraded for future help, that can give up work to learn.Provided that you have a stable source of income to support learning.

11 May 10
If it is something stable then I would not have doubts to quit the job or something. I also know for the fact that learning is also important and also the job itself. But learning should be a two way process not just one way. My workplace is suppose to be a company which means also means to be a companion to somebody which is something we dont have here. We are told to give suggestions to the company but they dont really mean it. I just think that our "manager" doesnt know what he is doing. I would not expect a lot from him anyway cause he's not trained to be a manager and his level of education is not something suited for a manager.

Oh yea..I would have plenty of reason- they pay me peanuts, I work odd hours, I've been doing the same thing for close to 3yrs now!!! Management-wise, I've got a good manager, peers are OK. The team was much more fun earlier as it was a younger crowd, still is but the older team was better cause we all got along very well so the days were filled with laughter and all of us were foodies, so food was always on the desk. But then most people left to pursue their careers or study..sign, those were the good 'ole days :-( But I like this company and with the market still picking up, its hard to find a good job that pays well and the job profile being something that interests you. So I'm in two minds, maybe if something really good comes my way, I may jump at it. Otherwise I'm holding ground.

At least you only have to deal with something like that. When it comes to peers, there are also a huge gap between the old employees and the new ones. I belong to the new ones and we observed that the old ones doesnt want us to go out together. When it comes to food, they dont even think about others when they get their shares. It always happen that we end up without food and when we complain about it, they get angry at us. I think the employees here in our company reflects the kind of management they have. Well, except for me and my friends of course. lol

I love my current job. I think I will quit my job only if I'm no longer being challenged by my work. I love the challenges that my work brings. As long as I don't get bored then I'm staying with my current job.

I love challenges too cause they bring out the best in me but if there are some problems I cant take anymore then I just have to quit. I also love my job as an online teacher cause teaching is really my passion but I just cant deal with the problems that we have in the company. I also dont like treated unfairly when I know I am doing my job well.

One of my reason to quit from current job is financial reason. I want to find a better place that paid me higher from now. Besides, I also want to find a good working environment so that I will enjoy with my job. Yes, I know that to find a job is very hard nowadays. Of course, I will not resign first if I haven't got the replacement. After I got the replacement, then I will resign. Overall, I just want to aim for a better future in all aspects. Never give up in reaching your dream. ^-^v

I think we all think about those reasons. A good working environment is also a must if you also wanted to do a good job. I did a very good job when I was new in the company. I was dedicated and also did my best for my job. I had the feeling of not wanting to work anymore when I discovered to many concerns and questions left unanswered and they dont respect us anymore.

Me too have the reasons why I quit my job. Considering the fact that it does something to do with the nature? Yes because everyday I need to leave the house early to avoid rush hour, second traffic consumes your time and then upon arriving at the office you feel exhausted because of the distance of my work from my house is far. The management is a contributing factor too since the management here is full of flaws and the people here are not that polite so my reason to stay here is just to get a salary but in other way around I really want to resign.

When it comes to the management and the people whom I work with except for my friends of course, are also a contributing factor on why I would want to resign. People here even if they are professionals are somewhat uneducated. Management also have lots and lots of flaws and they are not following labor laws. When it comes to salary, these days its not very good. They said that the company is going down. Well, serves them right for treating us badly.

Yes, I do have reasons to quit my job although right now I have to work for it anyway. At least double income is good for a family. If one day I quit my job, usually it is because I have to take care of my son. I can bring him to school in the morning but I can't pick him up in the afternoon because it is late for me to pick him up after work. My mom will pick him up right now. So if one day my mom can't help me, then perhaps I have to do it by myself. I love China

I think your son is reason enough for you to quit your job since family always comes first. But as you said, we need an income for our families so this explains everything. Though we have some concerns in our jobs, and even if we dont want to be there anymore, there are a lot of reasons what will also make us stay.

If I were to quit working for the current company I'm with right now, it would only be two things: - I was able to find the same job (that I love so much) but with a bigger compensation package. - The new company I'll be moving to has a pension benefit for retirees.

It is so easy to do things in work especially if you dedicate your energy and love your work so much. The only thing that makes me quit my job is when I have a toxic boss. I can't work with that kind of boss, It is so irritating. You can't concentrate with your job when a demanding boss is around.
@p3ks626 (6538)

11 May 10
My boss is not demanding. I think the main reason for that is that he doesnt know what he is doing as a manager. He is toxic in a way that he doesnt care about us, the employees of the company. Our company is owned by a foreigner and he was just entrusted the company even if he doesnt the job of a manager. He is underemployed cause his education is not suited for his position. But I really dont care if his level of education is only that but I just wish that he would also do his part as a manager and not act like a care taker. There are so many concerns in the company that's left unanswered. I also lots of reason to report the company to the authorities. It is something that I can do and I dont have any doubts doing it so they'd better do something about our concerns before me and my co-workers would decide to do this.

I think I am also going to quit if there's another company who would offer me a higher salary. I think its already reason enough to quit. Another reason would be the boss. I always think that if you are the boss then you have to act like one. If you are a manager then you should also know how to manage.

i have many reasons to quit my job for one new management! She's a really mean person, she doesn't be in the office everyday all day. Its like she lives in Wal mart. she hardly comes to back and check on the children, i work at a preschool, she;s jacking up the prices and whats even worst is that she losing people working for her and kids are leaving. The only reason some people or staying their is because of certain workers who remain they're but many said their putting in their 2 weeks notice i have too done such the same. Now she's going to loose alot of business. SHE ALSO PAY'S LATE AND WHEN SHE STARTED SHE PAID US FOR ONE WEEK THAN AFTER THAT WE DIDN'T RECEIVE PAYMENT UNTIL 3 WEEKS LATER AND I WAS MISSING MONEY!

I know exactly what you mean. I am not sure if I can call the management that way but I think it can be. Our so-called boss pay us late too. Our salary is suppose to be given to us on the 2nd and 17th day of the month but there's always a delay. I dont know the exact reason why there are delays but I just cant accept any reasons at all cause the manager who computes our salary wakes up really late in the morning and when he is in his office, he's just watching youtube. He is the care-taker not the manager. And I dont like him.
