Is the walkie talkie phone better?

Throughout the course of my work I have used mobile phones and walkie talkies to name a few. Each has its fair share of advantages and disadvantages in terms of connection, coverage and sharing of real-time information. Deciding what to use and when to use it would obviously be best to maximize resources and hence optimize operations. I personally feel that sometimes switching from one gadget to another wastes a lot of time. Besides, moving around with both is awkward and can be quite a handful. Do you think the walkie talkie phone as its name suggests is a better alternative?
