What do you think of the crime rate in your city?

In my city it is very high. Our city officials arent doing too much to stop or minimize it. In fact we have had a crime problem for a very long time and our Mayor just now realized that we have a crime problem! I would imagine in other cities it is a major problem too and I am curious as to what other people's cities are like as far as the crime rate. Please share.
