A diet that works?

Today I told myself once again I would go on a diet. Like many people this is a conversation I have had with myself over and over again. I have tried so many diets, non-diets, and diet pills I think I should write a how not to book. I am diabetic and I want to lose about 100 pounds. I am tired of the constant yo-yo. Does anyone have any advice on a good diet that could lead to the weight loss? What have you done to lose weight. What was the best/worst diet you have tried. I did cut out most of the diet soda I drink... I miss my fizz!

Count the calories as you eat. It’s a good idea to have an idea of the calories that most food items have. If it is a packed thing then the label is sure to have the calories that the substance has.

Try to drink a whey protein drink at night. It will fill you up and the protein is good for you weight loss regime. During the day i also drink a whey protein drink and one right after my workout. Fitness instructors and body builders will tell you they would not reach their goals and keep them without supplementation of protein drinks. You need to drink your weight in milligrams to get the right amount of protein for proper management and also don't forget to drink plenty of water. ^^

their are lots of way to lose weight but the challenge is how much is your devotion, discipline and motivaton to reach your goal? many people fail to reach there goal because they lack of this discipline, motivation and determination...for diabetic people always check the g.i. index of starchy food that you eat, ofcourse avoid sugar, have regular cardio exercise 20-30 min...

Heart welcome to mylot. Here you will get solutions for all of your problems. Use the search tab to find similar discussion. There are lot of discussions posted in mylot before also. As you are diabetic you will have to chose your diet carefully. Split your total intake of food and eat five or six times in a day. Select your favourite vegetables and cook in less oil or no oil. One fruit daily wont increase the sugar level. Avoid dry fruits, tanned foods, oil foods, cakes, icecreams, chocolates.
