Hi all We have case study , and wish that u all participate its ethical dilemma media always face and TV stations that they should show the execution live on TV because the victims family order that or they have great offer!! the criminal is really bad and did horrible crimes, but still is that oky to show him in the news he gets killed or lively in TV in front of the world ??? do u think that its bad or unethical because still we must protect and respect his privacy even if he is a criminal and there will no point of showing him on TV coz its inhuman and invasion people privacy at home in their own TV ?????? about me i think its really touchy and sensitive , i feel like its wrong to show him in TV lively and people are killing him , he is going to be killed anyway but plz not on TV !! so, tell me what do u think ? am I right ?

why not after all, we all see the similar/worse scenes in action, crime or horror movies... maybe it's time to see the real world we're living in;)

i'm sorry to say Aitrita this is wrong !! coz once we watch it on Movies we feel like its not true and all of them are actors, we don't feel offended coz we know that the criminal in the movie scene would stand up laughing or whatever after they kill him while acting !! but , watching real thing its no longer art , its really bad to watch someone get killed

what about reality-based ones? movies like "Gacy" really happened, maybe in a more cruel manner. Or docus as "earthlings"? I personally would go for it, it helps to understand better what's going on here.

oky watch them some of them show reality, but still we know that they are actors at the end no one is going to be killed , and no body can watch that in real show !! producers showing different image then the real world , even if if they showed true stories they might change some details for their viewers !! i studied that , so i know that you would not accept to watch such as thing on TV

I am PROLIFE. I guess everyone will agree with me if I say "No one has the right to kill anyone". Criminals are criminals, and they must suffer from the consequences of what they did. It is a very immortal to kill someone, this is why they are being punished. Execution will be in the same manner, that is, to kill the criminal and even worst if they are going to do in public. This criminal do have his own family, who in one way or another, are hoping that he be forgiven. In case not forgiven by the authorities and by the victim, still they are human, the criminal is still human, the family will not, for sure, want the execution to be made in public. It will be very tormenting to anyone. If the intention is to show the public of the strong implementation of the law, I guess there are other ways, just not in PUBLIC.

ya you are right !! that they must not show it for the public but criminal who did something bad like killing innocent people for no reasons must be punished ,it would be unjust for the victims families to let him go or still alive he might kill other people in future ,so killing ok but no on TV that would inhuman ! what do u mean you are prolife ! prolife for people who deserve it not criminals who took many people's life in sudden craziness!!

I do not think they need to show this on television. Even when they are showing war zones and the fighting on the news I do not agree with it. I feel that many younger people can lose touch with reality when they see all of this. You tell you kids that most things on tv are not real and it is just pretend, then they show executions and killings, then you have to explain that yes this is real and these people are really dying. I feel the news media is just looking for things to help boost ratings, and I personally don't want to see it.

I don't think it would be cool to show an execution on tv. However, we see stuff like that all the time on the crime shows. The trouble is that the generations coming up will have a more difficult time separating reality from television...

There isn't really a right or wrong answer here and i'm not trying to be sarcastic, but that's why we have more than one tv channel. Keep channel surfing, until you find something that suits your needs. There's a whole lot of stuff on the tube that doesn't suit me, like that show "Hoarders". Now that mess is unethical to air on tv, but to each it's own.
