The Gospel is often called the "Good News" and it truly is great news! This is what Jesus came to do: Isaiah 61:1-3 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. Isn't that wonderful news?!!

You must be one of the people who believes everything they read and were tought about the bible. I don't believe most of the stuff in the Old Tesamant and do believe most of the New Tesament! I hate when people preach from the bible! You sound like you are very religious and that is a turn off o me! My advice is have an open mind on religion because not all of it is true!

May we be the vessel as to which God can use to be able to let that Good News be pass around and let others know that same Good news that we were able to received sometimes in our lives. And it is just so amazing how we got in here. And let us be responsible enough to use the resources God has given us… thank you mr or ms.. hehe..

This is the beginning, the opening for Jesus preaching. The good news continues in Acts 2:22-39

Though prophet Issiah had proclaimed the Good News, but paradoxically when Jesus came they did not believe him. On the contrary they were so disappointed that they killed him. However, to us it is a Good News. Thanks for sharing with us the Good News.

the gospel isn't caled good news! the word gospel literally translates to 'good news'! I know that it's very affirming to some to post bible passages as questions, and the bible is full of passages that are truely wonderful, but it can also be a little pious and you have to be careful that you don't set a president for others to follow. there are some passages that i would not like to be quoted back at me. I barely get a few chapters into the bible before i start to think of how many verses could trip me instead of lift me up. Delight in the study of the bible but just saying - ain't that wonderful - well in my book that isn't really a discussion!? (But as in all things i may be wrong)
