Word Power book- need some ideas

To keep it brief- i need some ideas on how to make a book on word power for primary level. I mean many of you here may have kids at home, so if you were to buy them a book on word power, what type of book would be favored- more pictoral representations or semi workbook types...what? PLease give some other ideas if you have
