what did you buy for yourself, the very time you received the sweet first salary from your ever first job. Do you still have it today? Did you still remeber it? The very first item I bought as a gift for myself was a leather wallet. I used it for 10 years to be exact. I was so sad when I lost it from the snatchers. I could still remember how I was able to escaped from the office in a few minutes to buy it. Though I have various wallet after that, though I gave some of it, but that one I kept it longer. Ironic was I kept it for how many years, but when I feel to use it again the first time, I lost it in the same day.

For my first salary? I gave everything to my parents. It was my way of thanking them for raising me, putting me in a very good school until graduation day. No regrets for me. I did that for 12 months. I should have done it for a longer period. Now, I'm trying to earn more online so that I can share a part of my earnings with them again.

As far as I can remember, I bought some ice cream and other food for my family when I received my first salary. It was a lot of fun actually receiving my first salary. I cant believe at first that I finally have money I can call for myself my own. I also saved 50% of my first salary for future use. I was thrifty with my money and didnt buy a lot of things with it.

I remember, I bought Starbucks frappe when I received my first salary. It was the first Starbucks frappe I bought for myself because when I was in college, I really found their coffee/frappe ridiculously expensive. I took a portion of it for my allowance that will be enough till I get my next pay for the next payday and gave the rest to my mom. :)

I worked just for 3 months, and with the salary, i`ve buyed my laptop , but sure with a lot of help from my parents. I was going to college too, so they payed as usually all that i needed : rent, food, taxes, and so on, and i worked for 3 months and buyed a laptop. But i didn`t had enought money, so, they gave me some money for that too. I still have it, because that happened 2 years ago.

The first thing I bought was a stereo for my 87 Ford Tempo. Thought I was so cool having a cassette player in my car. Yes, I said cassette, remember those. My brother installed it for me and hooked it up weird. I could turn off the car and it would still play as long as the headlights were on. LOL

The very first thing I spent from my first ever salary is a leather shoes. I only got one pair before which is too old and don't look that good in the corporate world. So I decided to buy one. I'm still using it now. Really worth it considering the price. :D

I buy a new shoulder bag in my first salary and it is still here and so with the furniture the thing where the television is placed.Till now the thing I first bought still I can see in the house all the time.It is a big thing for me and I value it much. First thing to have is memorable than the second time around.I'm so glad that this thing was not yet out of order. It is durable and usable long time.but the shoulder bag is already old as it is from the date of buying .But anyway the important is the long time it was used and presented at home.

I had my first job when I was 16 years old, even before college! Having a big amount of money in my hands from my first two-week pay for my first job, I was extremely overwhelmed. I did not know how to spend it! To me, it was just so special that I kept my first salary in my ATM and did not withdraw any.... My second pay came...Although still overwhelmed, I thought it was about time to spend some for my necessities. So I did withdraw some and spent for clothes, shoes etc. But, because I felt those first two salaries were so special and wanted to make it really special and memorable, 75 percent of what I got, I gave it to my parents. It was one way of thanking them for all the efforts they have given me, and for all the support.

My first salary is a bad one. My first job when I was working in the hospital as an encoder. I made a lot of mistakes then, the even fried up a computer keyboard when I accidentally spills my softdrinks on it. The keyboard got messed up and the mouse. Now its ruined and it cannot use it anymore. So the management replaces it and it will charge on my salary. I guess that is my first expense on the first salary that I recieved

My first salary goes to my mom and dad. It was actually my way of giving them a little gift from something I know I never should have accomplished without them. :D

I think with my first salary I bought two roasted chicken, one family size pizza, a 1.5 liter bottle of coca-cola and some groceries needed for our home.I was very very happy. And I wanted to buy something special for my dad and mom, but I knew that eating something together, cheer and be merry would be more suited. Because they are not big material persons. They like it when we get all together with my brothers and sister, and just enjoy the food we have on our table. (^^,)

...Hi adeena2000, If I remember correctly, my very first job was at a Woolworth's store in town. I was in high school and they recruited for salespeople and somehow I was picked to work there. I was thrilled. I would be making money, my own money. When I got my first pay check, I went through the store buying stuff, can't remember the first thing I purchased. It was Christmas time so I probably bought something for someone else. But I had a good time spending and I am very sure that the store was happy to have the money spent where we worked. It was a fun experience and I had a great time while I worked there. I think I saved some money as well. Take care.

yeah, i remember that, since it was only around 10 years ago. i bought a new mobile phone, the nokia 3210 with copper case. it was probably the coolest mobile phone that time because it's the first phone in the market without those stubby antennas. next was a pair of diamond earrings my mother forced me to buy because she said i didn't have any jewelry of my own. well probably because i wasn't really into jewelry thats why i bought it with a heavy heart. in the end i gave it to my siblings.

My first job was at 16 and I worked for the Government earning a good wage. I was young and rather stupid with money and spent about £100 on makeup that I dont even remember ever wearing.
