Just spin the egg. If it wobbles, it’s raw. If it spins easily, it’s hard boiled!! There you go - a handy little tip for you. Another is that afresh egg will sink in water, a stale one After the Salmonella scare in Britain during the late 1980’s, many people are wary about using eggs, especially raw as in mayonnaise, lightly boiled eggs etc. but now UK egg production is among the safest in the world. I love to buy my eggs from our local farm - straight from the chicken's b u m!! They are so fresh they are really delicious. My favourite way of eating egg is to have a really lovely soft boiled egg with 'soldiers' !! Do you enjoy eggs and how do you enjoy them?

I like eggs most all ways, except fried to a crisp. I do not know what it means a soft boiled egg with soldiers. I will saute some peppers and onions, break eggs in and scramble, throw on some bacon bits and when nearly done a sprinkle of cheese on top. Lots of veggies that way. I also have a microwave cooker for eggs. It gets them done, but they do not seem quite so flavorful.

Eggs are indeed incredible. We enjoy them mostly for breakfast. Thanks for the tips. One thing I remember about eggs is that they contain a compound that aids in memory/retention ability and skills. That's a great plus for students on their way to school after a lovely breakfast! I love eggs most any way, but especially Eggs Benedict, eggs with egg (hollandaise) sauce; you just can't have too much of a good thing! They are great scrambled, fried, poached, boiled, "toad in the hole" or "bird in the nest", or made a la Russe or as egg salad. And then there are the plethora of omelettes with any combination of fillings, toppings, as well as huevos rancheros or in souffles. Yum.

Of course why not. Who will not enjoy eggs. I preferred to had egg Boil or omelet. Also, with some salt powder. Some days i use to eat scrambled egg, which mix all yellow & white parts of the eggs. I usually take Five to Six eggs per week, which can be with rice or with noodles or with bun etc...

i love fried egg, the sunny side up way and i also love boiled egg. another tip to know if your raw egg is fresh is when the shell is rough, it means it's fresh when it's smooth, it means that the egg has been harvested for days.

Those are good tips to spread around. I've known about them but I know that many people don't. To expand on the fresh or stale eggs, if the eggs sink in the water but are standing upright on at the bottom, they're still fine to eat. It's when they don't touch the bottom that they should be thrown out. I like eggs in just about any form. My favorite is probably soft-boiled and mixed with toast that has been broken into pieces. (Is that what you mean by 'soldiers'?) My mother used to give that to my sister and myself whenever we weren't feeling well so it has become a comfort food for me. I can't remember ever eating it that way unless I wasn't feeling well. I don't eat a lot of meat and even less than normal in the summer. Eggs are my favorite way of getting my protein. Egg salad, yummm! Egg sandwiches, yummm! I put hard-boiled eggs in most of my green salads, too. I can make a meal of a salad but I want it to contain at least a little protein and the egg provides that.

I love my over easy so I can dip my toast into the yoke. However, I have gotten away from my OE and went to pouch because I know it's heater for you. But I prefer fried. Soft boiled sounds good maybe it would be better than pouch. Thanks for the tips. Have a wonderful day Snow

You can break them in a glass and put the glass in boiling water n when its boiled put some cream over it n eat it by dipping bread in it!! ;)
