i am from the philippines and the enrollment in our college has just begun. there are a lot of freshmen filling up their admissions. and of course, their mothers and parents and even other relatives were with them. seeing them makes me think of what was my enrollment experience when i was a freshmen also. i did not have any except for my friends. it makes a lot of difference though. it wasn't easy since i was really the only one working on my own. but, what about you, were your parents there during enrollment?..

Wow, that is the case for you my friend. But that is not always the case for others. I myself is limited too. And I used to enroll myself all by myself, but to others, they just need others too. Hmm, I am intrigued. Do you know any other online job? Please show me how.. please..

My parents were not there but my sister was. I was only 16 when I enrolled in college and I was still young like literally. I needed the help of my sister cause she has a very strong personality. It happened only once though cause I get to do it by myself later on.

@p3ks526: wew, what a screen name you have.. well, that is always the case. If the parents are not there, if you have an older sister or brother, then they are the ones who are to be with you literally. More so, when they used to study to the school where you are heading also. That is always the case. @markelob; well, it is really nice to have brothers or sisters along with us.. they are so annoying at times, however, they still have their purpose.. hehe

When I am a freshman I go with my elder sister in the school because first time to live in the city from our barrio. So I am new in the place and don't know where to ride a jeep or tricycle. So I was have a company and after a long time I learned with my own.The difficult time is on the first day then after more days coming it is okay and alright. Seems shy at first then afterwards many friends and enjoy always.

The first day is usually the most difficult time. Because at that time, there are a lot of adjustments to be made. And the entire situation is really new to our senses and new to our sights. There are a lot of things to remember and familiarity is really a problem at this time. Not to mention the long lines of waiting and the times of delay for various reasons.. such a troublesome beginning..

Some new comers are attached to family unknown to new college world are scared, they always need someone to spoon feed them. At times loose our patients and i hate that. My Dad, Mom and Dad friends came to school during admission. For college admission i was happy done all on my own, only the money was given by my parents.

that is nice for you. But that is not always the case for every human individual all over around us. Hehe. It might be good for you to be alone, but to others, they still are craving for all the family supports. Well, it is worth that parents are also there. That is just to show some support at the very beginning of the new phase of one’s life..

@zedrick: Well, that is always the impressions of the mothers around. All the negativities in the world. And more so, mothers are usually the ones who are beside the new freshmens enrolling. Well, because they have to. Not to mention the one who buy you food and drinks during a long line of waiting. And not to mention too, the ones who wiped the sweat.. hehe @markelob: well, we are all different in many areas.. there are those who really supporting and caring, and there are those who teaches independence. And maybe, somehow, there are those who doesn’t care at all. Hehe..

That is nice. However, we are still on the process of renewing the technologies we have in here. Maybe sooner our enrollment will be online as well.

Through out our school days my mother would always be there with us I in enrollment. Of the times they would accompany us in playing for the tuition in school at the start of the school year but of course in the middle of school year they will just issue us a check with the amount of the remaining fees. Even when I was I in college my mom still accompanied me and I don't mind her doing so. Most of my classmates do have b parents with them too.

During the first day of enrollment for freshman, I think it is just normal that the parents are there. Things are all new during this transition phase of our lives. And college is so much different from high school life.. well, when we get into the next years, there are no more parents, right?

Nope., they started let me process my enrollment alone since when i was entering Grade 3 in elementary. For me it was a great achievement, with the fact that I can already do some things independently. I just can't remember if a former classmate helped me or whoever. And then, the following years, still the same. Ive done those things alone. The same when I was entering High School, I took my entrance exam without my parents' support. Until college, they let me decide on what school should I enroll and so with the course. Now I'm a fresh graduate from college. Of course, I should be really become independent in terms of finances and everything.

Wow, I think you have learned a lot to be independent starting from a very young age. We are the same. I used to do it on my own when I was some grade years ago. However, there are my friends and siblings who used me also. I could not make it before without them, I am a bit shy. And when I entered to college, there are my friends. And not to mention the high school days. I think, it is more of my friends who were there for me. And my classmates as well.

Wow, certainly you have to treat your mother with that. And I guess you give something nice on her during the mother’s day. Or maybe at her birthday. Well, we really cannot blame mothers. Patience is what I learned from them. And patience to listen to a very long sermon.. hehe

Bet your mother is preparing you for being independent on your own. And being able to stand on your own as well. Hehe. That is what you called training..

When I'm about to become a First year College student of course my parents were there to guide me with my enrollment. My parents were there because they are afraid that I might misplace the money for my tuition fee or there might be robbers around and grab the money if I am going to enroll for myself. But now that I am about to become a Sophomore student, I know I am responsible enough to enroll by my own. After all, I will only bring a check and not a hard cash. :)
