Feeding food to the hungry is much better than donating money, clothes, grains or any other materialistic things, What do you think.

I always have this feeling that when we feed someone else's we feel happy and blessed so whenever I do such task I can sleep peacefully at night. We give clothes to people who are in orphanages each year. And each festival we usually give money to helpless ones, It is such a noble act because when we do it we feel so good about ourselves.

Certainly, it gives ultimate satisfaction when we feed the needy, Celebrating Birthday with feeding the helpless like orphans, physically challenged etc... also brings happiness and satisfaction. The gratitude in their eyes makes me to feed more and more. God bless you.

Thank you for the best response samson1967! Actually I think if someone wants to help others he/she should always be starting nearby them because there are many people who are helpless ones in our own locality and we should start to help them to be able to bring peace in the neighborhood then to the world.

if i have no money, i can't give them. but if i have money, i really prefer buying them food and give them instead of money. i would think that they might just buy something not good.

When I celebrate some occasions at old age homes, I generally donate few bucks to every resident after lunch. They bless wholeheartedly.

Iam afraid to feed unknown persons. So I always donate money to some social worker groups. Or buy food and give to some orphanages and old age homes.

Yeah samson, it's nice to help hungry people with food and drink. This is the essential need when in a great hunger. After buying stuffs for preparing the daily meals in the morning wet market we usually would like to take our breakfast sitting at the hawker center. There occasionally we would come across one or two elderly ask for donation. My husband will buy him take away food and drink instead of giving him money. If he refused to accept this we then know he is not seeking for the daily basic requirement but just for money matter only We try not to give money to any person who comes to ask for donation in the hawker center. We know obviously that there are still some lazy people here just want to make easy money without any effort If we give money to them, means that we encourage them to keep on making money in this easy way. We won't do that absolutely! Moreover no one is not allowed to ask for money in the public. Take care and happy posting

Certainly food is one of the most basic needs and to feed another that is hungry is one of the kindest thing we can do. I believe that any kind of giving which comes from the heart is what makes the world a wonderful place. Donating money is not a bad thing, it’s just if it is mindless giving it is not as valuable as filling your heart by helping another in need.

hi, dear.:-) I'd often give food to the beggars i passed by the street. And they are beggars in the real sense of the word. Giving clothes ,too, if that's all you've got to give.Still, there's nothing wrong to that. Money, however, is not really advisable unless you give it through a certain foundation that helps people like them. i don't give it directly to them because there is a risk that they might spend it for other things other than their basic need such as food. There's nothing wrong in helping. only, you got to know who really needs help. :-) Have a great day, my dear.:-)

I have a few homeless people living right outside, a few blocks down, and we always try to help them in any way we can. What happens to people like them is simply wrong, and the state will do nothing against it. This is what you get for allowing unconscious people at elections. Wrong president, ugly country. All we can do is live off our dreams, and help the ones around us as best we can.
