In some parts of India, a girl marries a man, doesn't stop here, and all of his brothers. It is because the land is scarce and that they are unaware of modern birth control stuff. People suggest, that its going to end with time and education. What do you think about it. Good, bad, smart, anything?

I am from India and I am not aware of polyandry in any part of the country. But then again, I do not know much about anything either. I am sure there was the practice of polyandry in ancient India. Neither polygamy, nor polyandry is right. It is wrong and illegal unless it has been a family custom. Only then can it be called legal.

Polyandri is practiced in Trans-Giri district of Sirmour and other parts of Himachal. So, according to your belief, its our customs that define legal and illegal??

It has nothing to do with my belief. It is what the Law of our land states. If it is a custom then it is alright. If not then it is illegal and such marriage(s) are deemed to be cancelled.

I think it's wrong but it's just me. It's cuz i've lived in an entirely different surroundings w/ entirely different beliefs that's why i think it's wrong. It's like she's cheating with your brother only this time, it's legal. :)

Is there anything wrong with it? Anything logical?
