Would you ever buy a car engine online?

I have Toyota MR2 which I have loved for the last 8 years, but recently I blew the engine. It was probably my fault, but that's neither here nor there. So I need a new engine and I'm considering swapping in something a little more powerful than the stock MR2 engine, but most of the local places around here aren't really being too helpful, or they want what I consider to be way, way too much money. Has anyone ever looked for engines online? I'm thinking of a site like this or something similar ( http://www.gotengines.com/ ). I've never really bought anything more expensive than a videogame online before, so I'm wondering what the process is like when you're buying something as big and expensive as an engine. Can anyone who has done this before chime in? Thanks!

I personally have not tried to buy something very expensive from the internet. If you decide to buy, you have to do some research to see if they are scam and their services, like if the engine bought is spoilt, what they can do for you. Do consider for the price of delivery, if you add up to the price of the engine, you might decide just to get from local shops. Good luck!
