Rotating brownouts are rolling once again...

With the fact that the elections are finally over and rains have started to pour, one would expect that the rotating brownouts will finally cease. But we, here in this part of Mindanao, were surprised that there were brownouts again since yesterday and this afternoon. How come? I think drought is not apparent here in Mindanao and yet they point at this phenomenon as the main cause of power failure. When will these rotating brownouts end? Goodness! It has been months that we've been suffering from this. If this really has something to do with our negative contribution to nature, then please let's do our part in restoring our environment.

I am so sorry to hear about that. Here in Cebu, we are not experiencing brownouts these days. I don't know if it will happen it here but i know it's irritating to experience power failure everyday. I hope everything will be fine. Happy Mylotting!!

Hi. I really hope that our power supply here will once again be back to normal and that no brownouts will ever happen again. Maybe it's also God's way to remind us that we should do our part in taking care of what He gave us. And we really should and it must start now. It should be a joint effort because it's us who are benefiting every thing that nature offers. I hope every thing will be done according to His will. God bless and thanks for the response!

Yes, we must help each other to restore our environment. This rotating brownout is the effect after people abused the environment. Now, we learned a lot form this experience. In order to lessen this rotating brownouts, we must help first in ourselves and in the community.

Hello hunterkim, So, uh. what's Noynoy Aquino's agenda for power shortage. we never should have had there black outs since it's the 21st century. but what i have come to realize is that we are actually using coal powerplants as a back up and primary source since hydro isn't that available now.

There may be a lot of rain but if it falls in the wrong places then it's useless. The rains should fall in the lakes or the water shed areas not in the city. Maybe it needs a little cuddling and prayer can do a lot of wonder. Or better yet, start planting trees.

3 months of 5 hour rotating brown out to be exact. After a week the dreaded brown out is back. It happened in our place just awhile ago. I don't have any idea how long we will suffer this one. I am doing my part in my own little way in saving our environment but I think the big responsibility should goes out to the government. Campaign on awareness of climate change and what we can do should be one of our government's important agenda. Bro is it ok if I know what part are you in mindanao?
