Metal?

How many people (16-30) actually still like metal? From what I have seen a lot of people are going to rock, pop or country.
By metal I mean anyting from MetallicA to Children of Bodom to Mudvayne to Suicide Silence and everything in between.

I am over 30 and still enjoy metal in its different forms and styles.I think the passion for this truly unique style,or in fact styles of music because there's so much variety in it,can't disappear with age,in fact,once you have the microbe of metal in your veins,you will have it forever.

I am over 30 years and still listen to metal with pleasure, every chance I get. First, rock / metal is not only a genre of music is a lifestyle. Being a rocker does not mean, give the hair, or drink until you fall under the table. Being a rocker is to think, and especially to think otherwise, and this is what generally the most uncomfortable the rest, the courage to be who you are without thinking about world views, without taking into account all restrictions imposed by a company which lately has become so fake, so materialistic that that thing called soul remained forgotten. And rock is a music for the soul. And finally the soul is what makes us human ...

I think metalheadS are everywhere...listening to metal is not a trend I think...mainstream support comes and goes but metal lives on...I am from India and appreciation for metal is growing in India..

Oh, you'll always find metal fans. They're everywhere.
I, myself, am a fan of several metal subgenres, especially neoclassical styled, but I'll listen to all sorts. Everything from Cannibal Corpse to Dethklok (Lol), to Avenged Sevenfold (Gates is amazing), and everything in-between.
