What is the use of the operation being successful if the patient dies

its because we cant control someones life, the doctor cant give us life but they only extend our life, operation is not a guarantee of having a new life at all. same as love, we cant control nor hold someones feelings as they have their own mind and heart to feel and do whatever they want, no matter how we want them to stay but if they are no longer happy then who are we to keep them, it will only be hard in our part. its so easy to love someone specially if we saw something what we like to that person, but once that person lost the things that they like and they saw it to someone else then they tend to leave us. love is unpredictable same as life, we might fall inlove and breathing today but someday we realize that theres more far better that we think that can make us more happy.

It seems like the family of the patient don't want to loose their love one so that despite the risk it may have they will do everything for that person. And as a doctor you will do everything but it's on the side of the patient who failed. Maybe the patient really don't want to live in this world anymore or he/she is old enough..

i think we must all accept that almost all surgery can have complications. it is not natural for our body to be opened up and along the way their can be effects. even if for example a heart transplant is successful, made it beat, there is a chance that something might happen.
