what is really the Sabbath Day? Sunday? or Saturday?

From the book of exodus, our lord had stated the Ten Commandments..
One of the ten commandments say "REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY by KEEPING IT HOLY".
and From the definition of sabbath is that it is the 7th day of the week. SATURDAY, am i right?? But why majority of the christian are worshipping on SUNDAY??
What is really the Sabbath day? SATURDAY? where the Seventh-Day Adventist is worshipping? Or the SUNDAY where the catholics and other sects are keeping..
I want to hear your opinions and beliefs. tnx.

The first thing that came to mind after reading this was, 'why be legalistic?' Does it really matter to God if you worship on a Saturday or a Sunday? I think, what really matters to God is the observance of the Sabbath day. Whether it's on a Saturday or a Sunday, as long as you rest from work and worship God that day, then you are observing the Sabbath day. It's the same as celebrating Jesus' birth on the 25th of December. We're not even sure he was really born on that exact date. But we still celebrate without being critical about Jesus' exact birth date.

first i agree with you rinzgca(is that rinska?renzkah?)you said "we're not even sure He has really born on that exact date" for me its really doesnt matter when we'll perform our worshipping to God,what matter is what we believe...but back when i was a kid,sunday is a 'must' day to go to church,then when i grow , my faith change and realize that what important is my way of life,i go to church and practice what i've preach,when cannot attend sunday mass(morning or afternoon sunday) then i'll go attend sunset mass(saturday afternoon).my point is the "legal time"is just a 'tools' or 'program to dicipline us ..enlightened me should im wrong.thank you.

Yes, I like what you said about that legal time, or day, is just a tool to discipline us. I also believe that. Although I would try not to miss Sunday church, if there was an emergency, I'm sure, that God would not punish me just by missing it or going to church on another day. While God is a strict God, he is compassionate and considerate.

If you are using the jewish calendar its Saturday but if you
are using the gregorian calendar its sunday...

Does the commandment say which day is the sabbath? There's no day named "sabbath" is there? For the Jews the Sabbath was Saturday.
Whatever day you choose to celebrate as the Sabbath, keep it holy to G-d.
Romans 14:5-6
In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God.
A special day to the Lord. Whatever day you choose, keep it holy. This is answer to the command to keep the Sabbath.

In order to find out what day is the Sabbath day, one should consider that Jesus always looks at the heart of the matter or intended purpose. God said we should work 6 days and then rest. So, if you worked Tues.,Wed,Thurs,Fri,Sat and Sunday then your 7th day is Monday. Some prefer to work 5 days,take a sabbath day and then 1 day for "other" work(housekeeping,errands,go to church etc.).
Also,the point is not to sit around and be lazy for 1 day and do whatever you feel like(pizza and TV), however,to pause from the everyday routine and really spend some quality time with God(devotional prayer and bible time,reflect,forgive,repent,ask God for His Agenda/direction for your life,fast).
Easier said than done! I make a sincere effort to keep it like this, but I do fail sometimes-WOW, it sure makes a difference the following week!

the sabbath day is actually saturday. but the catholic church changed it to sunday. and from that time on... it has become a tradition. but for me , you can take anyday as sabbath as long as you keep it holy. God doesnt care about tradition right???

all i know is that the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. i remember our pastor explaining why worship day became Sunday. i think over time, people just found Sunday the real day of rest because Sabbath is the day when nobody should work. i'm gonna ask why, i'll come back later.

its saturday i think 5 days to work 6th day to rest and the last day to pray. i have heard this somewhere but i can't remember
