Water Melons are rich in essential minerals and water content needed during summers. My whole family loves this fruit. You can enjoy this fruit as a whole or blend it into juice. We add some Chat Masala (indian spice) to it , it taste yummy. Nature gift to quench our thirst.

Chat masala is a mixture of rock salt, dry mango powder, coriander powder etc...please visit this link for more info www.mumbaimirchi.com/recipe/chat_masala_powder.htm Check with any Indian departmental stores there. Its the favourite of all Indians. We use to generously on all salads. chat masala sprinkled over boiled macroni tastes good.

HI Jankar, Watermelon is a tropical fruit...a summer fruit. Sweet and cool enough to quench our thirst. A good alternate for water to drink when in the beach. this is one of the fruits that we used to bring in the beach especially during summer. no need to drink water...this fruit is enough to make us feel better from thirst.

Watermelon - dELICIOUS
hi jankar.. watermelons are delicious.. from wikipedia: Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus (Thunb.) Matsum & Nakai, family Cucurbitaceae) can be both the fruit and the plant of a vine-like (scrambler and trailer) herb originally from southern Africa and one of the most common types of melon. This flowering plant produces a special type of fruit known by botanists as a pepo, a berry, which has a thick rind (exocarp) and fleshy center (mesocarp and endocarp); pepos are derived from an inferior ovary and are characteristic of the Cucurbitaceae. The watermelon fruit, loosely considered a type of melon (although not in the genus Cucumis), has a smooth exterior rind (green, yellow and sometimes white) and a juicy, sweet interior flesh (usually pink, but sometimes orange, yellow, red and sometimes green if not ripe).

I love watermelon. I consider it my favorite fruit and all that. One good thing I found out about watermelon is that it is full of zinc. I read the article about that in yahoo and I was thrilled because it says there that watermelon isnt just water.
