My teacher in Psychology use to tell us that anger is in a state of temporary insanity. And we use to call our teacher a Psycho, because she is always angry during our class. But wait, is it true that when you're angry your temporarily insane.

Prophet Muhammad said the strongest is not the one who gets angry, but the person who gets angry and controls it is the strongest. People have to control their anry othervise they may end up doing or saying something regretable.

I think it's true that when you are feeling angry you are feeling a temporary insanity. I do admire those people who can control their anger in a quick manner. Because if I get angry it will take long before it will subside. It's not easy being angry because it will eventually lead to something negative if we allow it to stay far long in our heart. There are many kinds of anger...some were explosive...some were mild and some were too diabolical that can ultimately lead to killings other human beings. This particular anger is the terrifying of all because it wont acknowledge the difference between black and white.

" Can you see a reflection in boiling water? --- NO. . Trying to make sense and understand the situation when one is anger is similar to this. Truth can't be seen in a state of anger! ... is this not a symptom of temporary insanity. what your teacher told is wonderful... but, one should keep this in mind, when encountered with those things, which trigger the anger. thanks for a wonderful thought.

i think it depends on what degree of anger you are at. if its just a short annoyance or added up over time. i usually dont get angry enough to be out of control, but tonight i got so angry, if id have been able i would hurt someone. but thats because this anger has accumulated over some time. and yes, it was for sure insanity. although i dont know how temporary it is. as im still angry about it all. its not resolved

This past few days, I could say I was such an insane becaus I easily angry with my nieces and nephews. I could not understand myself why such petty thing they have done made me raging and outburstly pissed off with them. I felt so sick everytime I was so uncontrollably angry that I almost wanted to spank them everytime they commit little mistake. I was regretful afterwards. I know it was not me. I was insane. Thanks for this discussion, now I knew what was it to be insane. I don't want be under control with my anger anymore.

I think that it's true that when you're angry, it's temporary insanity. Maybe that's the reason why one shouldn't make decisions when angry 'cause it might be something that one regrets in the long run. When we're angry, we feel like there's so much going on in our mind and emotions. Not everything is really clear and when we're angry we tend to only believe what we want to believe and forget to be objective.

Yes I too feel that it is so !When we get angry we sometimes loose our balance and behave in an irrational manner which otherwise we may not do.So, in a way anger is a state of temporary insanity because we loose our sanity and senses for that period of time...all the best and happy mylotting

It would make sense if you think of how some people act when they become angry. Interesting thought...

Could be. When you're angry, you cease to be rational and analytical. all you have working for you is critical thinking, which doesn't give decent thoughts when you're angry (cause you lack logic and rationality)
